Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Hello!!! Have any of you had the opportunity to drive along Michigan Highways’ and seen our beautiful State come alive? The green colors along with spring are just awesome to view.
Brother Lenzy and I are so excited; we are starting our plans for the “Natures Beauty” Session in Battle Creek this October. We have confirmed the menu for the Garden Party 4:00 p.m. Tea to be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Southern Exposure Herbal Farm. NOW, don’t frown. Southern Exposure has the most gorgeous grounds and buildings for the Tea. It is located just 10 miles from McCamly and the Kellogg Arena, easy on and off exits for I94 or 69 expressways. In fact, just four 4 miles down from Turkeyville! Those whom have made a Sunday drive there to view the grounds are so impressed with everything. NOT only will you have a hors d’oeuvre buffet, but you will also receive a 25% coupon off on everything in their gift shop.
Brother Lenzy and I understand some have said they will “lose” their parking place at the hotel, if they attend the Tea. Sisters and Brothers, we will have the 5th floor of the parking structure set aside for OES only, and you are “not” guaranteed at anytime you will have the same spot if you leave then return. Please keep that in mind for the full week. We hope you will put aside your frowns and give the Garden Party Tea a try, yes it is something different, but eloquent. In a few short weeks we will have pictures on our OES website for Michigan. Do check it out.
Brother Lenzy and I would like to remind you of our upcoming Golf Tournament in June, the Picnic in July and of course the Euchre Tournament on July 21 in Muskegon. We both hope most of you will go on the Maine Trip with us. I cannot wait to have a Lobster meal and walk the beach of the Atlantic Ocean at Sunset.
May each of you have a most sunny, fun filled May. We hope to see many friends at the upcoming County and District meetings.
Remember: The only place you find success before work is in the dictionary.
In Friendship,
Nancy A. Martin Lenzy R. Lewis

Dear Sisters & Brothers,
Brother Lenzy and I would like to ask you for one more favor!!! At Grand Chapter in October this year, we invite you to participate at our “Paws” table in the vendor area in a silent auction to raise money to make our dream of funding two Paws With A Cause puppies become a reality. How can you do that, you ask??? Well, here are some ideas:
Put together a basket reflecting your area of the State;
Donate an item: jewelry, TV, week in Aruba, etc.
I think you get the picture and have participated in silent auctions before. This is a fund raiser for “Paws” – not Grand Chapter. It’s our way of saying “thank you” to our GGCC Brother Richard Haynor, PGP, for all the work he and Ginger have done throughout the State to raise funds for this very worthwhile cause.
One note of EXTREME IMPORTANCE: The auction bids will be closed at the end of the session on Wednesday afternoon. The winners will be announced on Thursday morning, and if you are the high bidder, you will pay your bid and remove your item. There will be NO MAILING of any item unless you pay for it ahead of time. The Chairman of the silent auction committee is Sister Carol Orsborn, Wacousta Chapter #133. You may contact her with questions: Let’s fill the table with tons of items and make our dream come true.
In Friendship,
Nancy Martin, WGM; Lenzy Lewis, WGP
